Tivoli La Vie
Tivoli La Vie is a hotel near Muscat International Airport in Oman, operated by Minor Hotels. The client had only a set of JPG renders and the studio was in Indonesia, so Kunkun Visual rebuilt the entire hotel experience through an AI-driven production: virtual environments, digital characters and a narrative following one guest across a full day.
About the project
Tivoli La Vie began with a constraint rather than a brief.
A hotel in Muscat, a launch at the end of the year, a client with a folder of JPG renders, and a studio four thousand miles away in Indonesia. No site visit, no shoot, no 3D model.
So the whole thing was built with AI, from concept through to the final grade, and written as an emotional journey rather than a facilities tour. The calm, the small wonder, the sense of having arrived somewhere. What a guest would feel, rather than what the hotel contains.
Story
Tivoli La Vie is built around the idea that you should not have to go anywhere else.
It is minutes from Muscat International Airport, which removes the worst part of business travel: the gap between landing and rest.
Inside there is a spa, a golf area, rooms with room in them, restaurants and fully equipped meeting rooms. Everything shaped around the same idea, that the property should be able to hold a whole trip.
One night between flights or a fortnight, it works the same way. You slow down without having to go looking for somewhere to do it.
Process and solutions
We had JPGs. That was the whole asset list.
Interior and exterior stills, a team in Indonesia, a launch at the end of the year, and a promotional film that had to exist regardless.
From those stills we rebuilt the experience as virtual environments and populated them with digital characters, designing activities that unfold across a full day the way a guest’s actually would.
The film opens on an aeroplane landing. That is not an establishing shot, it is the argument: the hotel’s strongest feature is how close it is to the airport. From arrival the story moves through check-in, the room, the facilities, the spa, dinner, a meeting and the end of the evening, without once leaving the property.
AI was not a shortcut here. It was the bridge across a missing 3D model, eight time zones and a deadline that was not going to move.
