Architecture, before it exists.

Kunkun Visual is an architectural visualization and CGI studio founded in Bandung, Indonesia in 2017, with a second studio in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It won the CGarchitect 3D Awards 2025 for Non-Commissioned Film, the only Southeast Asian winner that year.

Every project starts with one question

What should the audience feel?

It sounds soft for a technical business. It is not. The answer decides the hour we shoot, the lens we choose, where the cut lands, how long a shot is allowed to breathe. Get it wrong and you have a competent walkthrough that nobody remembers. Get it right and someone feels at home in a place that has not been built yet.

That question is why we treat a property film like a short film. Not a tour of the amenities. A story with someone in it.

How the work is made

The greenscreen stage in Bandung. The people in our films are filmed, then composited into environments we built.

There is a signature under all of it, and most of it is restraint.

Shadows stay dark. We do not lift them to grey to show off detail that nobody asked to see. Interior lights and street lamps always read as lit, because a building with dark windows looks abandoned. Sky saturation stays held back. Every public space carries people who are moving through it, not posing in it.

Once a year we make a film nobody is paying for, and we budget it like a paid job. That is where the studio gets to say something without a client in the room. Silent Recall came out of that habit. It is also the film that won in Warsaw.
