Regatta Residences
Regatta Residences is a waterfront residential development in Jakarta, Indonesia, with towers designed by Tom Wright. Kunkun Visual produced its campaign film through a virtual shooting workflow, building custom human models rather than using stock figures. It won Gold for Video Real Estate at the MUSE Creative Awards 2026 and Gold at the Telly Awards 2026.

About the project
We let the coastal horizon set the lens. The Java Sea moves one way, the sails hold still against it, and the film lives in that tension. Environment simulation carried the water. AI-driven grading carried the air.
Story
The film follows a couple who built a home inside Regatta and made it theirs, set against the sails that give Tom Wright’s towers their shape.
Their days run between two registers: the quiet of rooms built exactly to their taste, and the noise of a yacht deck full of friends. The sun drops behind the skyline, the music comes up, and the line between the city and the water stops mattering.
It is a film about a life with room in it.
Process and solutions
We ran a virtual shooting workflow, treating the digital environment the way a crew treats a location: blocking, camera positions, coverage, the discipline of a real shoot.
Stock human figures would have undone it. We built our own male and female models for this project and used AI for facial synthesis, so the same two people stay recognisably themselves from the first shot to the last. Tom Wright appears through the same process.
The storyboard follows a high-end commercial rather than an architectural tour. That one decision is what turns a residential showcase into something a buyer watches to the end.
